Room rental

If you are a practising therapist looking for professional premises, then take a look at The Grove’s therapy rooms for hire.

We’re conveniently located in Wimpole Street, near Oxford Street in central London W1; with good transport links. We are minutes from Oxford Circus and Bond Street tubes, as well as the buses along Oxford Street. There is meter parking outside our building and in the surrounding streets.

The Grove occupies part of a pleasant period building. There is a buzzer entryphone system for the front door and the inner door to The Grove’s premises. The rooms are lower ground floor with big windows and natural light – without being overlooked or overheard. Each room contains two armchairs, a couch, a desk and chair, as well as side tables, lamps and plants. Each room is suitable for individual therapy and for working with couples.

What’s included?

The Grove is located within an impressive Georgian building alongside the renowned Harley Street medical zone. The building has many attractive period features as well as modern, recently refurbished rooms and facilities.

Rooms

Room 1 is located at the back of the building, facing away from Wimpole Street. Room 2 is at the front of the building, facing onto Wimpole Street:

Office

There is also an office area with a refrigerator and a tea point for hot and cold drinks, as well as recently refurbished washroom facilities.

Contract for room use 

 

We license our rooms in standard blocks of 7 hours (7am- 1:50pm) in the morning and 7 hours (2pm-9pm) in the evening. Morning session users must finish by 1.50 prompt to allow the changeover. Rooms are licensed on a monthly contract basis with a minimum commitment of 3 months.

 

We offer a further 5% reduction if you agree to an extended notice period of 3 months (rather than the standard 1-month notice period). Room use is invoiced and payable monthly in advance by standing order.

 

The rate for each block is shown below. Volume discounts are built into the pricing for blocks on a regular contract basis, listed in the table below. A reduced rate applies for Monday bookings where 4 Bank Holidays occur annually on a Monday.

 

Rooms are available 7am-9pm, 7 days a week. Additional hours are bookable outside the block contract, at £20 per hour if available, (invoiced at the end of each calendar month). The therapist manages their availability and bookings directly through our online diary system.

 

The therapist is responsible for their own diary management, marketing and client intake, billing and collecting fees from their clients. The Grove may make referrals without charge to therapists who are on contract for room use: this is possible but not guaranteed, depending on the level of enquiries which The Grove’s directors are unable to work with themselves.

 

Extra hours at £20 per hour are only available on an ad hoc basis to those who are on a contract for room use, to streamline our administration.

 

Block booking rates

 

The figures shown below represent the daily rate which will be invoiced on a monthly basis payable at the start of each month, calculated as follows: daily rate x 52 weeks (or 48 weeks for Mondays) / 12 months = monthly invoice amount. This figure is for one month’s notice. A discount of 5% will be made for a notice period of 3 months.

 

About our premises

Rental includes: wi-fi, tea & coffee facilities, microwave, toilets for use by therapists and clients, front door key, use of office laptop, access via front door and clients to use entryphone system. There is central heating but no cooling system (apart from opening the windows). The Grove has public liability insurance and the landlord has buildings insurance.

In your publicity and communications, you are welcome to state that you work at The Grove Practice, 4 Wimpole Street W1G 9SH.

Sessions usually start on the hour. The Grove works to 50-minute sessions. But do discuss with us if you work to different session timings.

Rental contract

When we prepare your contract, to ensure professional standards are met by everyone working from our premises, we ask to see your: Once you have submitted copies of your professional qualification/accreditation, plus your professional indemnity insurance, we can agree a start date, then you will be asked to commit to a rental contract including the following terms.

  • qualification and/or accreditation certificate,
  • professional indemnity insurance certificate,
  • evidence of membership of a professional body through which you work to a code of ethics.
